Wyalusing Valley Personal Care Home offers a full activity program to help you weather the winter months! We offer short (respite) and long term services in a comfortable, home-style atmosphere that includes family style dining, two cozy sitting areas with fire places, two on site libraries, and more! Come for a day or two or stay for the season and enjoy the beautiful scenery from the comfort of our fully climate controlled, glass enclosed sunroom or on either of our two outdoor patios. A full range of activities is available as well, including a variety of church services, prayer groups, and Bible studies, Bingo, musical performances and sing alongs, crafts, guest performances, Coffee Hour, Computers, exercise, board games, puzzle tables, and more! Our facility features a computer center for resident use, with features such as Skype, Facebook, and email to support communication with family and friends. On site computer tutoring and assistance is available upon request. Periodic community outings include fishing trips, picnics, participation in the Wyalusing Fireman’s Parade, and more! Residents take an active role in their stay at the care home through participation in monthly resident council meetings, where residents offer feedback on menu planning, activities, and other care home services. We have two primary care practitioners and two podiatrists who provide services on site. In addition, support with scheduling transportation is available for residents who desire to access community resources for their personal wellness and social needs. The Care Home is a scheduled public bus stop for BeST Transit (formerly EMTA), which offers free and reduced cost transportation for seniors and persons with disabilities.
